THE DREAM TEAM

 

     GAS AND ELECTRIC FLY IN

 

     There were 10 Flyers at the field.  The weather was good—85º and light winds.  Everyone asked how I got such weather. 

     There were flyers from Tampa, ST. Pete, Venice, Bradenton, Sarasota and Sun City.  Nick Zuroli fly and Electric Rudder Bug.  There were no crashes or fly a ways.

     Since the field was closed to only climb and glide, there was only one flyer who

showed up with a sport plane.  I guess some don’t read the newsletter or look on the Bulletin Board.  \

     The next fly in is Dec 16th.  Bring out your electric sailplanes, sailplanes and old timers.  There is no competition, just fun flying and bull sessions (Lies)/

     We also had may spectators.  We thank MCRC for the use of the field once a month

     MCRC Quickee 500 racing got off to a good start on the 26^th of November with three participants and a host of supporters. Thanks to all that came out to assist. (counters, callers, judges and spectators) We all had a great time and all went well. I have seen a couple more members getting planes started. I am hoping to see more flyers out next time.

     Keep January 8^th open. I’m hoping to have something going on that day for our third year opening day celebration.  A family gathering having everyone bring ing something to share and the club supplying hotdogs and hamburgers.  And lots of flying along with some pylon racing.   

     The Christmas party was a great success last Tuesday night. Good food and good times were had by all. If you missed

it, you missed a good one. We had a head count of 55 members, family and friends. Thanks to all that were there and those who wished they were there but had other commitments.

     It’s good to see all the activity at the field these days. The U-Control area is going constantly almost every day, almost as much as the R/C area.  Keep up the good work guys and I’ll see you at the field.
